California Sober

For me, cannabis has become a valuable tool in promoting my well-being and supporting my efforts to steer clear of alcohol. I understand that everyone's experiences and needs are different, but I have found a lot of benefits in cannabis. It helps me unwind, relax, and alleviate stress, especially when I'm in need of some downtime. Seriously, I love to take a few hits and enjoy a nice long workout.

Cannabis has actually shown promise in addressing various physical and mental health conditions including managing chronic pain, reducing inflammation, and easing symptoms associated with anxiety and depression. (Unlike alcohol that exacerbates all of these things.)

What matters most is supporting someone in their unique journey to abstain from whatever substance (or substances) that are causing them harm -- whether it's alcohol, pills, tobacco, or even activities like pornography or excessive shopping. Sobriety is a personal path and understanding and empathy go a long way in assisting others on their chosen route.

My chosen route is to abstain from alcohol because it doesn’t serve me, and to find as many tools as I can to help me cope and manage my life in order to make abstaining from alcohol as easy as possible. For me, that includes cannabis.
